Making our Seashell Wax Melts:
Here’s what you’ll get in this wax tart starter kit:
- Pillar of Bliss Candle Wax
- Island Cabana Fragrance Oil
- Ivory Nature Friendly Liquid Candle Dye
- Small Shells Embed Mold
- 24K Gold Mica
- Diamond Dust Mica
- Disposable Pipettes
Other Ingredients You’ll Need: Toothpick, Mixing Spoon, Stove, Scale, Pots (for double boiler), Water, Pouring Pot (sold separately), Thermometer (sold separately)
Directions:
- Weigh out and melt 150 grams of the Pillar of Bliss to 195F using a double boiler. Also, use a toothpick to add a very small amount of the Ivory Liquid Candle Dye. Stir occasionally as the wax is melting and ensure the color has fully blended with the wax.Â
- Allow the wax to cool to 180F. Add 15 grams of the Island Cabana Fragrance Oil. Stir.
- Allow the wax to cool to 140F. Fill each cavity of the small shells embed mold with the wax. Allow the wax to set up.
- Remove the shells from the mold. Dust each wax melt with the 24K Gold Mica and Diamond Dust Mica.
- Allow the wax melts to cure for at least 48 hours before using in your wax burner.
